Safety Tips
Last updated: October 2026. Wooing is an India-only dating app for adults aged 18 and over. These tips are guidance only and do not guarantee your safety. You are responsible for your own decisions and interactions, online and offline.
Online safety
- Do not share contact details, home or work addresses, banking or payment information, OTPs, or government ID numbers with people you meet on Wooing.
- Be cautious about clicking links or downloading files sent by matches. They may be scams or malware.
- Do your own research before trusting someone — for example, verify details they share and look out for inconsistent stories or requests for money.
Meeting in person
- Meet in a public place for the first few meetings.
- Tell a friend or family member where you are going and when you expect to be back.
- Arrange your own transport to and from the meeting.
- Trust your instincts — leave if something feels wrong.
Consent and boundaries
Respect other people's boundaries at all times. Consent is required and must be clear, voluntary, and ongoing — anyone can change their mind at any time. Never pressure, threaten, or coerce another person.
Reporting concerns
If someone behaves inappropriately, use the in-app Report option on their profile or message thread, or write to contact@wooingapp.com. See our Community Guidelines and Grievance Officer page for more on reporting.
No background checks
Wooing does not verify criminal history or run background checks on members. You are responsible for your own safety and for deciding who to interact with or meet.
Emergencies
In an emergency, or if you feel unsafe, contact your local authorities first. This page is not a substitute for emergency help.
